Welcome to the 2010-2011 season of Condors Hockey back in Condors Town!  I would just like to take a moment to tell you about the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club.  The Bakersfield Condors Booster Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a positive and productive relationship between the Bakersfield Condors Hockey Team and the communities of the area, assisting with the promotion of professional hockey in the Bakersfield area, providing support for the team members and their families, and to provide information, ideas and opportunities to enjoy the game of ice hockey.

As a member of the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club you get to participate in events held exclusively for members only.  There is a “Meet the Team” picnic held at the beginning of the season, a Christmas Banquet where a player sits with you and your family, and an awards ceremony held at the end of the season. Members receive monthly newsletters with information about the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club, the team, the players and information about up-coming events. 

The primary focus of the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club is to provide for the needs of the players while they are living in the community.  As a member of the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club you and your family can participate in a much-loved event; feeding the team after a home game.  If you enjoy cooking for large groups or if you prefer to have a meal hosted by a local restaurant, it is an opportunity for you and your family to mingle with the players in a more intimate setting, exclusive to Bakersfield Condors Booster Club members. 

All items in the players’ apartments, such as pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc., are bought and paid for by money raised throughout the year by the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club.  We rely on money raised from memberships and fundraising efforts to pay for these items. 

This season we will have road trips planned to away games and we will be hosting a poker tournament to raise funds.  Bakersfield Condors Booster Club members can participate in these events at lower prices than non-members. 

If you are into scrapbooking, the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club is looking for volunteers to make scrapbooks of all the newspaper articles published throughout the season.  At the end of the season player names are picked and you can customize your scrapbook specifically for your player. 

Monthly meetings are held for the membership where needs are addressed, upcoming issues are discussed, and items are raffled off as prizes.  Coach Marty Raymond is usually in attendance, along with a player or two, giving you an opportunity to ask questions and get to know the players. 

Please join us in making the difference in a player’s experience in Bakersfield.  We are a proud Booster Club that provides more for their team than any other Booster Club in the league!
